The Cow & Pig, Bromley
I am extremely delayed on getting this post out to you guys! Now that the there is light at the end of the COVID tunnel and restrictions are starting to ease, I thought it would be a great time to get this place onto my blog. If like me you are already booking yourself into venues for when they open, this is one to add to your list.
I visited C&P before Christmas and I loved it. This is certainly a place for those that love their protein and a cocktail!
The decor has a barnlike feel with a modern twist which makes it versatile. You could go to this venue for a casual social lunch yet equally you could dress up and head here for dinner before hitting some bars.
The menu for me was just full with things I love and things that I wanted to try from the food down to the cocktail list. I found it incredibly difficult to decide on my courses, I had to flip a coin in the end!
For starters I chose the bacon and brisket nuggets with the BBQ sauce together with an espresso martini.
For the main event I decided on saddleback pork belly with creamy rosemary mash, braised red cabbage, crackling, apple chutney and C&P gravy.
By the time I got to dessert I was comfortably full but given the amazing cocktail list I decided that I would go for a white chocolate martini which is put together with Smirnoff vodka, mozzart white cocoa blanc and double cream. A glass of happiness is the only way to explain it.
The staff here were excellent, they were charismatic and inviting, the food was brought out in good timing and you were not rushed through your meal. Something I cannot stand is all my courses being thrown down in front of me one after another...
I really enjoyed my dining experience here and there is still so much on the menu that I would like to go back and try. A big thank you to the team for providing an excellent lunch service. I will be back as soon as restrictions allow!
