Perfect Outdoor Dining - Tipis Restaurant

Are you looking for the perfect outdoor dining venue complete with stunning backdrop? Look no further, Tipis Restaurant in Yalding is calling you!

Tipis is part of 'The Gardens' which acts as a wedding venue offering up to three ceremony options with plenty of space for exploring, feasting and celebrating.

The venue serves British food from the beautiful tipis situated in 12 acres of grounds. They grow as much produce on site as possible for use in the kitchens which guarantees freshness.

Upon entering the venue you are walked past the start of the stunning gardens complete with trellises and overhanging lights before entering the tipi and being shown to your table.

I was in awe of the venues beauty and decor.

Once sat down and presented with our menus I ordered the following:

For starters we shared the 'Butchers' sharing platter which came with salt beef, pickles, pate with rhubarb chutney and smoked duck breast.

I followed this up with pot roast chicken breast with smoked bacon, broad beans, leeks, mushrooms, garden herb potatoes and steamed greens.

For dessert I went for the simple but delicious Taywells vanilla ice cream with cookie crumbs and a drop of dark chocolate sauce.

The staff were friendly and upbeat which contributed to the sunny and relaxed atmosphere.

After eating your meal you can take a stroll around the gardens and then head over to the outdoor seating area. There are a few seats/rattan sofas around the usual indoor bar area which is placed under a fairy light lit roof where you can indulge yourself with another glass of wine or a cocktail or two!

If you are visiting in the later hours of the day be sure to take a jumper or a coat as the evening air can get quite chilly, however, you are provided with blankets and fur fleeces which I thought was a perfect finishing touch.

Please note that the venue is closed from Monday - Wednesday.
